Our Year 6 scientists have been investigating how finches adapt to their environment! Using different utensils to represent a variety of beak shapes and sizes, the children explored which “beaks” were best suited to picking up different types of food. The children demonstrated communication and teamwork as they made connections to real-life animal adaptations and Charles Darwin’s theories.
