Science Week in Y3

As part of British Science week’s theme of ‘Change and Adapt’, Wayfarers class designed a playground game that could be adapted to include children with disabilities.

First, they tried activities with limited sight and then with one leg, to see how it affected their performance and enjoyment.

Then, the children worked in groups to design a game for either sight loss, hearing loss or a wheelchair user.

Finally, they took their game out onto the playground to test it. The children enjoyed thinking hard about how to include disabled children into their playground games!
