Y5 British Science Day

On British Science Day, the children in Year 5 investigated Eco-Systems and how the natural world all links together.

The children in Year 5 wanted to answer the question: What material makes the best hankie? We investigated how well different materials absorb liquid. The children then thought about their own handkerchief design and advertisement.

For Science last week, Year 5 were investigating friction and how easily they could pick up jelly cubes using chopsticks – particularly if the jelly was covered in oil.
